Pink Dream
Young mi Wang Artist's NotePoetry written on a picture... I write poetry in pictures. I complete my poetry using the flow of paint as a language rather than a poetic painting. Flowers and leaves are representative poetic words that complete my paintings. People cannot explain it in writing with words and stories. There are no flowers before my eyes. There are no photos of a garden full of flowers or sunflowers. My paintings do not require an aesthetic origin or understanding that they might explain in a few lines of explanation; instead, I look at myself calmly and create them in the language I live in today. When I paint, it is a way of recording the stories of the past I have experienced in the series of epic poems. The paintings, sometimes rough and shapeless and sometimes infinitely careful and gentle, are built up and maintain an appearance seemingly to sway with time. Flowers that are the same or different coexist as separate concepts because the areas of emotion are different in the process of living. The meaning and intention change gradually throughout the painting. Still, I enjoy looking at flowers ripening in the sunlight, using the visual images they provide, or discovering something hidden in the illusion of flowers.I am happy to draw sunflowers among so many flowers because I can't forget the ecstasy I felt when I saw sunflowers moving in the intense sun, blooming in a field, and swaying in the cool breeze. The memories of the abundant cherry blossoms that seemed like an illusion in spring and the yellow sunflowers blooming in the field are also subjects of my work that I cannot help but pass by. I am working hard to express on canvas the feast of brilliant colors found in flowers' backs and dark areas. It is the work of writing a poem that leaves the brush strokes to the emotions of drawing flowers and the flow of time that embraces it. The poem is an interaction of precious time.
